Air Fryer Ham And Swiss Sandwich
I really do not like having the oven on in the summer. If I wanted to be the cook-ee, as opposed to the cooker, then yes, the oven would be an efficient and lovely option. But no, I would like to be as even keel as possible where my mean body temperature is concerned. That’s one reason why I love this Air Fryer Ham and Swiss Sandwich so much. You can enjoy a hot meal that just doesn’t heat the house up.
I don’t know what the weather has been like where you are lately, but it has been well into the 90s for weeks. Weeks. I have the solution for you: air fryer meals. I just love the air fryer. It’s small and takes up very little kitchen real estate. It’s also very easy to clean, without all that bending over and back breaking scrubbing. Also, they are typically cheap and easy to use. Win. Win.
Air Fryer Ham And Swiss Sandwich
Ingredients
- Bread [I like Sour Dough or Honey Wheat for this recipe]
- Swiss Cheese
- Sliced Ham
- Mustard
Directions
- Pre-heat air fryer to 350 degrees.
- Next, place your perfect amount of sliced ham on one slice of bread. I recommend about 3 pieces as that seems to heat perfectly in my air fryer. You might want to adjust for yours. Add Swiss Cheese [2 or 3 slices melt well in my air fryer] and mustard.
- Then place a piece of bread on top to create your sandwich.
- Air Fry for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted and bread has toasted.
What kind of cheese would you use if you didn’t have Swiss on hand? I really like any kind of Cheddar [have you tried Sharp New York Cheddar? Because yuuuummm!], as well as American or Colby Jack for alternatives. I also occasionally throw some onion on this sandwich as well. What other condiments or ingredients would you add?
